Headway Somerset

They exist to support individuals with acquired brain injury, their families and carers in Somerset. The team in Taunton wanted their own brand identity, and a more modern, fresh and engaging logo than the UK-wide Headway charity, that they a part of.
Logos for charities are often very clichéd, with trees, abstract people of holding hands that make up the core of the design. I focused on the brain itself and what the charity help with. Synapses are where neurons connect and communicate with each other. For the charity is assisting with the healing of the brain or providing the best support possible.
The final design utilises a bright logo mark to represent the brain function and a warm and friendly typeface in VAG Rounded to show their empathy.
